Big,
big fir log from the Columbia River. This one was too heavy for
the cradle to lift. After ripping one of these logs down to size
with a chainsaw, I took a piece of it home, planed it, and counted
60 rings per inch in the outside wood!
A curbside
job in Portland, OR. Resawing old fir beams into nice clear 6/4
boards. Note the "no parking" sign!
Slabbing
Oregon White Oak, near Blue Lake, CA. These were some beautiful
boards!
A
few small Black Oak logs next to Tim Metz's skidder. Blue Lake,

Milling
Black Locust into beams in my driveway. This is one straight,
long locust log!
